In this List of best chicken rice in PJ, You will find a list of 4 places PaPa Joe have chosen as the favorites.
1. New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice, PJ
Many claim the chicken rice at Ipoh Chicken Rice tastes exactly like that the ones in Ipoh. No wonder then that this restaurant has since seen a steady stream of loyal customers since its opening in 1977.
Today, the place spans four shoplots, but even then, seats are hard to come by during peak hours. To help keep up with the crowd, their staff are all equipped with high-tech PDAs to quickly make and send orders to the kitchen.
Fans will tell you that the high standards have been maintained through the years. The chicken meat was tender and succulent, and their chilli, flavourful with a powerful kick to satisfy even hard-to-please critics.
The bonus - and one more good reason to come here - was the beansprouts side dish with sprouts that were thick, juicy, and crunchy to the bite.

Any PJ dweller would have heard of this place that's best known for their corn-fed chicken. You’ll need to get to Restoran Yat Yeh Hing early if you don’t want to be disappointed - their signature roasted chicken runs out as early as two hours into opening time.

This humble spot is often overlooked by lovers of chicken rice in PJ. But don’t be fooled by its no-frills décor; the proof is in the taste of the food at Restoran Satellite Ipoh Chicken Rice.
The steamed chicken was smooth and springy to the bite, and the beansprouts were plump and flavourful. Compared to larger chicken rice establishments, however, the menu is basic and the variety, limited.
